We got the pleasure of meeting Miss World Australia, Tess Alexander on a photoshoot for the cover of Queensland Brides Magazine.
We felt that Tess had an inspiring story to tell and on top of that is beautiful on the inside and out and we are excited to share her story with you.
Tess was modelling at a bridal show and that’s where she met her mentor, the current Miss World.
Because of the core values of MissWorld Tess decided to enter. The ethics really resOnated with Tess which are more about who you are and what you represent and the people you can help.
In Tess’s words: “Miss World is more than a crown. It’s about unity. It’s about bringing the community together and inspiring people to be the best version of themselves that they can be whatever form that may take.
It’s been a really humbling and beautiful experience to be able help people on their journey and to be able to inspire them.
My journey with Miss World has been a passage of self- discovery and I have learnt and grown so much, and one of the wonderful positives of being involved with an organisation like Miss World is that is embodies holistic values and it is a pay-it-forward attitude where my job is to be the best role model that I can be in society.
When I was on stage I wasn’t representing me, I was representing all of Australia and that was something nice to be a part of and to be able to showcase what Australian’s have to offer and it’s a beautiful country and is something that I will always be proud of.”
Before Miss World Australia Tess worked as a personal trainer and it allowed her to lead a healthy and active life. Not only that, it also put her in a position to be able to encourage and help other people to do the same and to be proud of themselves through living a healthy life and keeping fit.
Tess now wants to use the platform of Miss World to continue along this journey. Tess believes that no matter what size, shape or form you are to stand proud and to be whoever they want to be through health and exercise.
Don’t try and scale yourself against somebody else, be proud of what YOU have achieved no matter how small or big.
So as you read this you can understand why she was chosen as Miss World Australia. If you get the pleasure to meet Tess you will feel her warmth. Tess has a down to earth attitude and you can see how she has come to represent Australia. Tess has a winning attitude, a generous heart and makes everyone feel special and good about themselves. You cannot help but feel more confident around her.
